Hawaii is home to Caterpillar’s first authorized dealership, Pacific Machinery Inc., in North America. Opening in 1925 to primarily serve Oahu’s agricultural production needs, Caterpillar’s equipment, expertise and dedication to the communities it serves have helped build Hawaii for nearly a century. Hawthorne acquired Pacific Machinery Inc., which is now known as Hawthorne Pacific Corp., on May 5, 2004.
Hawthorne Cat is now the leading large equipment dealer in the Pacific region, with eight regional facilities on Oahu (Waipahu and Mapunapuna), Hawaii (Hilo and Kona), Maui, Kauai, Guam and Saipan. This team of highly qualified professionals knows and understands the equipment and its applications, as well as the needs of the communities they live in.
Headquartered in Waipahu, this division provides sales, rentals, parts and service of Caterpillar machinery and power systems. It also represents Toro, Club Car and other brands to provide the most robust product line available. It serves various industries including: heavy and general construction; quarry and aggregate; paving; agriculture and landscaping; marine; engine and power generation.
Hawthorne Machinery of Samoa Inc.
Located in Pago Pago, American Samoa, this division fills the marine and construction needs in the Pacific Rim. This facility has a complete sales, parts, and service staff that provide services to the worldwide tuna fleet, the construction industry, power plants, and all phases of the industrial market.
